Is there a name for this Limit Hold'em Variant?
Just played in a friendly bar game and they were playing a somewhat odd cap/limit version of texas hold'em.
Blinds are 5ct and 10ct, but the maximum allowed raise on every street is 20 big blinds. Every raise reopens the betting, so two players could re-raise each other indefinitely in 20bb increments.
Has anyone else encountered this limit poker variant, or is it just something people with no knowledge of the standard rules made up to keep their game small and newbie-friendly?
